Purchasing Solutions Alliance (PSA) is pleased to announce Correct Rx Pharmacy Services, Inc., a nationwide provider of institutional clinical pharmacy services, has been awarded Contract No. 21-208 for Pharmaceuticals and Related Products and Services. The contract is intended for use by Correctional Facilities, such as city or county jails, or state correctional facilities.

Key features of the contract include:
- Customer Rebates: Annual rebates based on 2% total generic drug spend.
- Exceptional Accuracy: Correct Rx maintains a 99.974% accuracy rate. Through a robust Quality Assurance program and Continual Process Improvement, Correct Rx checks each order for drug interactions, duplicate therapies, inappropriate strength, and noted allergies.
- Actual Acquisition Pricing: Pharmaceuticals are priced based on Actual Acquisition Cost (AAC) plus a Dispensing Fee based on the Average Daily Population for the total of all facilities under a member contract. This provides the lowest overall pricing scenario for your facility.
- Same-Day Shipping/Next-Day Delivery: Correct Rx’s strategic location next to the BWI/Marshall Airport allows for next day delivery of medications to all 50 states. Orders received by 4:00pm ET are shipped same day (5:00pm ET for West Coast shipping). Correct Rx provides SAME DAY delivery for select facilities within a 200-mile radius of their Hanover, Maryland pharmacy. Emergency deliveries are available.
- On Call Pharmacist 24/7: Consultant Pharmacists are available 24/7 to answer any questions or concerns you may have.
- Medication Barcode Check-In System: Correct Rx has an easy-to-use web-based barcode scanning system that improves both efficiency and accountability for tracking medications.
- Customized Quantities: Correct Rx does not automatically dispense a 30-day supply of medication and can customize the quantity to meet the needs of the End User.
- Return Policy: Correct Rx allows for the return of most medications permitted by law on both full and partial blister cards. Correct Rx assumes the shipping cost of returned medications and does not assess a restocking fee.
- Quarterly Pharmacy and Therapeutics Meetings: Correct Rx participates in quarterly Pharmacy and Therapeutics (P&T) meetings to review the formulary and nonformulary usage, drug costs, provider prescribing practices, drug utilization review, educational information, and other relevant topics to pharmacy operations.
- Formulary Management: A Correct Rx clinical pharmacist works closely with the Medical Director and Health Services Team to create and maintain a formulary that provides significant cost savings and improved patient outcomes. Correct Rx adapted its formulary management principles from the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, NCCHC and ACA.
- Easy-to-Use Formulary: Correct Rx includes with its formulary comparative pricing per drug and per drug category for effective utilization by prescribers. Correct Rx’s pharmacy operating software system allows us to identify whether a drug is formulary or non-formulary at the time the order is processed. We input the specific End User Formulary into our pharmacy system. This list can be updated at any time and may be customized by specific locations within a facility (e.g., infirmary, population, mental health unit). Correct Rx’s pharmacists that review each medication order serve as the gate keeper for formulary compliance.
- Web-Based Dashboard Reporting System: Modern business analytics is a vital necessity when managing a healthcare system. Information is only beneficial if it is current, accurate, and available. Managers need real time information. Correct Rx provides access to our Dashboard Reporting System. This web based program acts as a nerve center where quantitative and qualitative information is readily available and accessible 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
- Medication Carts: Correct Rx provides medications carts free of charge for the life of the contract.
- Training Systems: Correct Rx offers training through onsite in-person training, teleconference, web conferencing, reference guide handbooks, formal policy and procedure manuals, and online comprehensive video training that can be viewed in its entirety or by the specific topic of need.
